Following on from Pt1, I guess I'm trying to demonstrate that even a mother of 3 and grandmother of 2 can retrain and develop new skills.
I've just launched myself into Network Marketing. Again if someone had told me I would be making this transistion I would have laughed.
A friend of mine who attended my Hula Hoop classes posted a comment on her facebook wall, stating that she had dropped 2-3 dress sizes in 10mins. I looked at it and laughed. I told myself this was just another gimmick. A few weeks later she posted it again and this time she invited us along to a showcase. As I was intrigued I decided to contact her. I tried to rubbish it and made all the excuses why I could not attend, in the end she got the better of me and I went along.
The showcase was being run by Americans, as that is where the company is based. They told us how they started off with nothing, some had lost their houses, jobs etc etc, but I still didn't buy into it. I knew I could not compare the earning potiental the Americans were making to us in the UK, so it really did not phase me. I wanted to hear what someone from the UK was actually earning before I coudl believe in it.
About 10 - 15 minutes into the showcase they brought out 3 people, whom they had picked from the audience. They paraded them around before they were transformed. Then after a short while the 3 people came back, 2 women and 1 man. Well, I was gobsmacked, I could not believe what I saw before I eyes. The man had previously had a large stomach, but when he returned it was flat, he looked like Mr Universe. There was 1 of the women in particular, she was slim, smoothed out, no lumps or bumps and she looked confident and radient.
Well that did it for me, I wanted one for myself. You might wonder why if I teach Hula Hooping, but I think no matter what, once you have lost weight, the most difficult bit to get rid off is the excess loose fat.
I could definately see the dollar signs and how this would fit into our market, especially with the high obesity rates we have not only in the UK but in the USA too.
This amazing product is what has now brought me onto the new chapter in my life. Being the type of person I am, if I embark on something I need to learn and know everything there is to learn. By researching the company I stumbled across various sites about Internet Marketing and Businesses on the net. I even went to Las Vegas on my own in June to redevelop myself, which is something I would never have done before.
I am now at a turning point in my life as I embark on my new journey. So many doors are opening up for me and I am networking with so many different people around the world. I am learning how I can maximise my business and a whole new different way of not only marketing my businesses but also myself.
Hence why my title is Never too old to learn!
